Tracking an Impactful Storm System Across the Western and Central U.S. This Week

A Pacific storm will bring mountain snow, rain, and strong winds to the Pacific Northwest. This storm will then push into the Central U.S., bringing an impactful winter storm over the Upper Midwest Tuesday through Wednesday. Severe thunderstorms are expected in the Central U.S, as well as a multi-day heavy rain and flooding event Wednesday through Friday from the Ohio Valley the Mid South. Read More >

If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
