JULY 2021 AT PINE BLUFF WAS WARMER THAN AVERAGE, THOUGH ONLY BY JUST UNDER
ONE DEGREE. THE COOLEST PERIOD WAS DURING THE FIRST THREE WEEKS OF THE MONTH,
THE LAST TEN DAYS BEING THE WARMEST. THIS WAS ESPECIALLY TRUE ON THE 30TH
AND 31ST, WHEN THE TEMPERATURE HIT TRIPLE DIGITS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NEARLY
SIX YEARS.

AND, SPEAKING OF THAT, IT CONCLUDES THE ALL-TIME RECORD STREAK OF NO 100-
DEGREE DAYS AT PINE BLUFF. THERE WERE NO TRIPLE-DIGIT TEMPERATURES FROM
AUGUST 8, 2015 THROUGH JULY 29, 2021, WHICH IS A RECORD OF 2,183 DAYS, OR
5 YEARS, 11 MONTHS, AND 23 DAYS. THIS PRETTY WELL SHATTERED THE PREVIOUS
RECORD OF 1,132 DAYS, OR 3 YEARS, 1 MONTH AND 5 DAYS FROM JULY 9, 1948 TO
AUGUST 14, 1951.

RAINFALL WAS NEARLY TWO INCHES BELOW AVERAGE, MAKING IT THE DRIEST JULY
AT PINE BLUFF IN NEARLY A DECADE, BUT NOWHERE NEAR RECORD TERRITORY.
