PREVALENT SOUTHWEST TO SOUTHERLY WINDS KEPT SIGNIFICANTLY ANOMALOUS
WARMTH AT LITTLE ROCK THROUGH THE MONTH. THE ANOMALOUS PATTERN MADE
FOR THE WARMEST DECEMBER (IN TERMS OF HIGHS AND LOWS) IN 132 YEARS.
THE MOST SIGNIFICANT WARMTH CAME IN THE LAST WEEK OF THE MONTH, WITH
DAILY READINGS 25 TO NEARLY 30 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE.

BELOW AVERAGE RAINFALL CONTINUED THROUGH THE MONTH, THOUGH THE
DRYNESS WASN`T AS SIGNIFICANT AS NOVEMBER. MOST OF THE RAIN FELL IN
THE FIRST THREE WEEKS OF THE MONTH.

FOR THE FIRST DECEMBER IN THREE YEARS, NO SNOW FELL DURING THE MONTH.

.MONTHLY AVERAGES...
THE AVERAGE HIGH, LOW AND MONTHLY TEMPERATURES WERE THE WARMEST
SINCE 1889, AND ALL THREE WERE THE 2ND WARMEST ON RECORD.

THERE WERE 11 DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 70 DEGREES, WHICH
WAS THE MOST FOR THE MONTH SINCE 1889, AND THE 2ND HIGHEST ON RECORD
IN ANY DECEMBER SINCE RECORDS BEGAN. ONLY 1889 HAD MORE, WITH 18 RECORDED.

PREVALENT SOUTHWEST TO SOUTHERLY WINDS KEPT SIGNIFICANTLY ANOMALOUS
WARMTH AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK THROUGHOUT THE MONTH. THE ANOMALOUS PATTERN
MADE FOR THE WARMEST DECEMBER IN SIX YEARS, AND THE WARMEST DECEMBER
SINCE RECORDS WERE STARTED IN 1975. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT WARMTH OCCURRED
IN THE LAST SEVEN DAYS OF THE MONTH, WHERE DAILY READINGS WERE RUNNING 25
TO NEARLY 30 DEGREES ABOVE THE 30-YEAR AVERAGE.

SUBPAR RAINFALL CONTINUED THROUGH DECEMBER, THOUGH THE DISPARITY WAS MUCH
CLOSER TO AVERAGE FOR THE MONTH COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS MONTH (-0.09 VS.
-2.45 FOR NOVEMBER). RAIN WAS FAIRLY EVENLY DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE MONTH,
THOUGH THE HEAVIEST QUANTITY FELL DURING THE FINAL THREE DAYS.

THIS WAS THE FIRST DECEMBER IN FOUR YEARS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SNOWFALL.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE WARMEST SINCE 2015, AND WAS THE
WARMEST ON RECORD FOR DECEMBER. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS THE
