Strong to severe thunderstorms may produce heavy to excessive rainfall over portions of the Central/Southern Plains and Mississippi Valley today. There is a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 4) for Excessive Rainfall and a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms today. There is a medium risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, mainly east of a Hobbs-to-Panther Junction line. Any severe storms that do develop will be accompanied by large hail and/or damaging winds.
There is a low risk of severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening, mainly over the northern Permian Basin. Any severe storms that do develop will be accompanied by large hail and/or damaging winds.
There is a low risk of severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening, mainly over the northern Permian Basin and Western Low Rolling Plains. Any severe storms that do develop will be accompanied by large hail and/or damaging winds.
