Severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday, as a weakening cold front sags south across the region, with a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) from the Storm Prediction Center. A morning round of strong to isolated severe thunderstorms should sweep eastward across the region. Once the atmosphere has had several hours to recover from the morning round of storms, another round of strong to isolated severe thunderstorms could develop during the afternoon, lasting into the evening. Both rounds could produce isolated damaging wind gusts, and medium to large hail is also possible.
