Overview of Hurricane Zeta

As has been the theme for many tropical systems across our forecast area, our region was on the periphery of another tropical system in a very active hurricane season. Impacts were relatively minor across the region but did consist of power outages, a few downed trees, and wind gusts up to tropical storm force.

Image: NWSKeyWest.  Radar imagery of Hurricane Zeta as it rapidly moved northeast through central Alabama and into northern Georgia. This imagery highlights when we saw much of the impacts from Zeta across the area. Wednesday (Oct28th) evening through Thursday (October 29th) much of the impacts we saw across our area.
