A strong cold frontal passage on Friday night will lead to gusty winds this weekend to 35 mph over land and 40 knots over coastal waters that may impact hurricane recovery efforts, including compromised trees leading to power outages, drones, improperly secured roof tarps, loose outdoor items, and hazardous boating.
After a few more days of above normal temperatures, cooler weather is on the way as a strong cold front is poised to move through the local area Friday night. High temperatures this weekend will be around 5-10 degrees below normal for this time of October. Temperatures gradually warm heading into mid week next week and remain seasonal.
