The combination of temperatures in the middle 90s and high humidity will lead to heat indices between 108 to 111 degrees across portions of the Florida Panhandle and western Big Bend. Elsewhere, heat indices will generally top out between 102 and 107 degrees.
There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather across most of the area outside of the southeastern Florida Big Bend today. Damaging wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are the primary concern, but some hail cannot be entirely ruled out.
