Temperatures throughout lower Washington County will climb into next week. The hottest conditions will be Monday afternoon, with temperatures as high as 113°F. Minimal overnight cooling Sunday night and Monday night will contribute to dangerous heat.
A combination of strong southwest winds and low relative humidity will lead to critical fire weather conditions for much of central and southern Utah Tuesday. Further north, scattered dry thunderstorms will be capable of gusty, erratic outflow winds and frequent lightning, also increasing fire danger.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be capable of strong winds Tuesday afternoon and evening. The biggest threat will be for southwest Wyoming and northern Utah, where isolated damaging wind gusts in excess of 60 mph are possible.
