buildings. The worst damage was noted in Fifty-Six included a
cabin park, where most cabins were either destroyed or shifted

Springs area uprooting or snapping many trees as it moved towards
Arkansas Hwy 5. A Remote Automatic Weather Station (RAWS) in this
area measured winds consistent with the rating of damage just
upstream of the RAWS observation site as the tornado passed
overhead. As the tornado passed over Hwy 5, many trees were blown
down along the hillside along the highway, with the tornado
continuing northeast crossing the White River. As the tornado
crossed into Izard County, it moved through the community of
Jumbo, uprooting or snapping trees and power poles, and causing
more structural damage. The tornado continued to move northeast
through mostly rural areas, causing large tree blowdowns, before
passing just to the north of Melbourne, and continuing into the
rural communities of Larkin and Franklin. The most severe damage
was observed over this portion of the damage path, with three
houses suffering catastrophic damage, consistent with an EF-
4 rating. Two significant injuries also occurred in one of these
houses. The tornado likely kept moving northeast into a very
remote part of eastern Izard county, eventually crossing into
Sharp county, and crossed US highway 167 south of Ash Flat where
a few more homes and metal outbuildings were badly damaged along
