High pressure will build over Arkansas from the central and southern Plains in the coming days. Oppressive conditions are expected, and there will be little/no rain through at least Thursday/Friday.
Tuesday will be hot and humid. Dangerous heat indices are expected. Be sure to drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks, and wear loose fitting, light colored clothing.
Heat is no joke. In fact, heat was the number one weather killer last year and has been responsible for the most weather relatead fatalities over the past 10 years. Be careful out there.
Dry conditions are expected through this weekend. In fact, one of our computer models is showing zero rainfall through Sunday and the other one, not much at all.
