300 AM CDT FRI JUN 11 2010

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 AM CDT FOR
WESTERN GARLAND...MONTGOMERY...EAST CENTRAL POLK AND PIKE COUNTIES...

AT 245 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW WIDESPREAD SHOWERS
AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF THE WARNING AREA...WITH
LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN.

THE HEAVIEST RAIN WAS EXTENDED FROM THE SHADY LAKE AREA IN POLK
COUNTY EASTWARD THROUGH SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY AND NORTHERN PIKE
COUNTIES. THIS INCLUDES THE TOWNS OF NORMAN AND LANGLEY...AND ALSO
THE ALBERT PIKE RECREATION AREA. THE RADAR ESTIMATED 3 TO 4 INCHES
OF RAIN IN THESE AREAS...WITH FLASH FLOODING LIKELY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. PEOPLE IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SUCH AS NEAR CREEKS OR SMALL
STREAMS SHOULD MONITOR WATER LEVELS FREQUENTLY...AND SHOULD CONSIDER
MOVING TO HIGHER GROUND IF RAPID RISES OCCUR.
