EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold temperatures as low as 4 to 10 above zero
expected.

* WHERE...Martin, Floyd, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Perry, and Pike
Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Those without a reliable heat source following recent flooding are
encouraged to find a safe, warm place for tonight.
