Easter Climatology

It's Easter weekend, and we thought it would be fun to look back in time and see what the weather was like for Easter's past. As such, we have come up with a climatology for both the Jackson NWS office/Julian Carroll Airport and the London-Corbin Airport observation sites, looking at temperatures and precipitation for the duration of data at the corresponding sites.  How will we compare this year?

Jackson (Records available 1981 - 2015)

Average High Temperature:     66.3°F

Average Low Temperature:     45.7°F

Average Precipitation:     0.17 inches

The only Easter to record snowfall occurred in 2008 with only a trace.

London (Records available 1955 - 2015)

Average High Temperature:     66.7°F

Average Low Temperature:     41.6°F

Average Precipitation:     0.11 inches

Other than trace amounts prior to 1978, the only measurable Easter snowfall occurred in 1964 with 0.2 inches.  Snowfall records only exist from 1955 through 1995.
