2020 saw above normal temperatures and above normal precipitation at the Jackson Weather Office and the London

Corbin Airport. The mean temperature at Jackson was 58.7 degrees which is over two degrees above normal. 2020 was 

the 2nd warmest year at Jackson, just below 58.8 degrees in 2016. London finished 2020 with a mean temperature of 

57.6 degrees which is near one degree above normal. This reading tied as the 9th warmest year at London. 2020 was

the 4th wettest year at Jackson with a total of 61.44 inches. Jackson's normal annual precipitation is 48.34 inches.

London's annual total was missing due a sensor error on 3 days. Even with missing three days, London had a  total of

65.27 inches which is the second wettest year at London.

 

December 2020 was warmer than normal at the Jackson Weather Office. Jackson averaged 39.1 degrees which is one

degree above normal. London finished December 2020 with a reading of 37.8 degrees which is over a half a degree

cooler than normal. Jackson measured 4.91 inches in December which is nearly three quarters of an inch above normal.

The London Corbin Airport totaled 4.74 inches which is a half an inch above normal.  Climate data for Jackson dates 

back  to 1981 while weather records began in 1954 at London.
