Heavy Precipitation in the West; Wintry Mix in the North; Fire Weather in the High Plains

Pacific moisture will continue to bring locally heavy coastal/lower elevation rain and heavy mountain snow to the West Coast and portions of the Intermountain West through Monday. A wintry mix will create hazardous travel across the northern Plains and Upper Midwest into early Monday. WYMT has been an exemplary ambassador for NWS Jackson, KY over the years. When COVID hit, the WYMT weather team stepped up to the plate to help us continue to carry out our initiatives. They co-conducted virtual spotter trainings with us, advertised trainings on our behalf, and promoted weather safety in coordination with our NWS safety week/campaigns. They have also included us annually on their Questions and Answers program, helping us to reach a wide audience for weather and safety topics. We are thankful for their partnership everyday!
