Snow Across the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast; Unsettled Weather in the West

Light to moderate snow will continue into Saturday over the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast. This weekend into next week, a series of atmospheric rivers will bring gusty winds, periods of heavy rain, and mountain snow to northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Jackson ended October with a total of 0.21 inches of precipitation. This made  October

2024 as the driest ever October at Jackson. The previous record was 0.51 inches from

October of 1987. London's total of 0.42 inches was 3rd driest October, well behind the

0.02 inches from 1963.
