Light to moderate snow will continue into Saturday over the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast. January 2024 saw below normal temperatures and above normal precipitation at the Jackson Weather Office.
The mean temperature was 35.0 degrees which was nearly one degree colder than normal. Jackson also tallied
4.77 inches of precipitation which is over three quarters of an inch above normal. London's January 2024 was
a little colder and wetter than Jackson's. The London Corbin Airport saw an average temperature of 33.4
degrees...over two and a half degrees colder than normal. London also picked up 5.18 inches of precipitation
which is over one and a quarter inches above normal. Also of note, the Jackson Weather Office saw 13.9 inches
of snow during January of 2024 which is the 8th greatest January total.
