Snow Across the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast; Unsettled Weather in the West

Light to moderate snow will continue into Saturday over the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast. This weekend into next week, a series of atmospheric rivers will bring gusty winds, periods of heavy rain, and mountain snow to northern California and the Pacific Northwest. A Freeze Warning is in effect for eastern Kentucky tonight into Monday morning. Low temperatures Monday morning are expected to drop into the mid 20s for many of our typically colder valley locations and in the lower 30s for most other locations. Freezing temperatures could damage or kill sensitive vegetation that is left unprotected.
