Snow Across the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast; Unsettled Weather in the West

Light to moderate snow will continue into Saturday over the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast. This weekend into next week, a series of atmospheric rivers will bring gusty winds, periods of heavy rain, and mountain snow to northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Thru Nov 17th, 2018 is the 5th wettest year on record at the Jackson Weather Office, only 4.21" behind the wettest year (1989). With around 6 weeks until the end of the year, 2018 has plenty of time to climb the rankings. At least another 0.50" to 0.75" of precipitation is possible through the end of November. Meanwhile, Jackson December normal precipitation is 4.18"
