An EF0 tornado moved through Lake City. Along the path of the tornado, numerous trees were downed with some landing on houses and mobile homes. The roof of a building was blown off heavily damaging a bank. Some boats that were dry-docked at a marina were blown over. This tornado caused $250,000 in property damage.

A NWS storm survey, plus areal footage of drone and satellite data, concluded that an EF0 tornado started north of Zumbrota, and tracked northeast for 5.4 miles until moving across the far northwest corner of Wabasha County north of Mazeppa before moving back into Goodhue County, and dissipated approximately 3/4 of a mile west of Bellechester. The damage was limited to crops. This tornado tracked mainly through corn and soybean fields, and occasionally damaging a few sheds and outbuildings. The tornado caused $50,000 in property damage in Goodhue County and $5,000 crop damage in Wabasha County.

An EF-0 tornado produced spotty damage in Plainview. The backside of a metal shed was blown down, part of the roof was taken off a storage building and the batting cage at a baseball field was destroyed. This tornado caused $10,000 in property damage. A short-lived tornado touched down southwest of Lake City. This tornado was only on the ground for about 2 minutes and the damage was limited to snapped off hardwood trees. This tornado caused $5,000 in property damage. More on this tornado can be found at: https://www.weather.gov/arx/jul0516

  A small, short-lived tornado damaged some corn, removed the tops off of two silos, blew in garage doors, and moved tires off a silage pile. This tornado caused $15,000 in property damage and $2,000 in crop damage.

  A tornado touched down briefly, but no damage was reported. This tornado was part of the family of tornadoes that ravaged Comfrey and St.Peter, Minnesota earlier in the day.

  This tornado originally touched down near Chatfield (Olmsted Co.) and moved northeast through sections of Winona and Wabasha Counties in southeast Minnesota before crossing into western Wisconsin. Eleven barns were destroyed, 12 homes were damaged, and three people were injured from flying glass. All 3 people injured were in Buffalo County.

  The tornado moved northeast through the town of Elgin.  There was $60,000 damage as about 20 homes and 8 businesses were torn apart.  Every building in town was damaged to some degree.
