  • Temperatures were below 40°F from October 24 to October 27 (4 days).  This tied 1925 (October 27-30) and 1930 (October 17-20) for the third-longest stretch (4 days) in an October.  The only other stretches of October days which were longer occurred in 1873 (7 days - October 25-31) and 1917 (5 days - October 27-31).   
     
  • A total of 1.61" of precipitation fell.  This was 0.56" drier than the 1981-2010 normal of 2.17 inches.  This was the 6th month this year to be drier-than-normal.  
     
  • The first trace of snow for the 2020-21 snow season fell on October 20.  This typically occurs on October 20.  The first measurable snow (2.0") fell on October 25.  This typically occurs on November 11.
