Marine and Coastal Impacts from Imelda; Unsettled Weather in the West

Swells and high surf from both Imelda and Humberto are expected to bring dangerous marine conditions and rip currents to much of the East Coast over the next several days. Overview

Numerous showers and thunderstorms produced heavy rain around parts of the region on Saturday, July 23rd. Most of the rain fell Saturday morning into the early afternoon hours before exiting to the east later in the day.

There were reports of street flooding and rapid rises along nearby creeks and streams.  A few area rivers also briefly hit flood stage.

Several flash flood and river flood warnings were issued.
