NWS La Crosse is WX9ARX
Local amateur radio volunteers help operate our base stations to collect area spotter reports. Otherwise staff members from the La Crosse National Weather Service (NWS) office, who have their amateur radio license, also operate and coordinate information. As of December 2016 there are six (6) staff members who are licensed.
