Accumulating snow Thursday, heaviest during the morning hours, lingering into Thursday night before ending. Highest amounts favored across western into central Wisconsin where 5 to 8 inches are expected. Visibilities during the heaviest snow Thursday morning may fall below 1/2 mile at times with roads quickly becoming snow-covered and slippery. Please monitor road conditions and adjust travel plans as necessary.

Thu-Thu Night: Winter Storm

  • What: Snow, highest amounts of 5 to 8 inches. Blowing snow possible.
  • Where: Highest amounts over western into central Wisconsin, lesser amounts further south and west.
  • Timing: Snow begins for most before sunrise, with the highest snow rates during the mid-morning hours. Lighter snow lingers into Thursday night. Threat for blowing snow increases Thursday night.
  • Impacts: Road conditions will quickly deteriorate shortly after onset of snow. Significant reductions in visibility. Rural, secondary roads could become treacherous to impassable. Commute will be impacted.
  • ACTION: PLAN NOW for travel impacts. Avoid unnecessary travel and/or delay if you can.
