Recent rains and some warmth have resulted in the beginning of the growing season across Northern Lower Michigan, with sensitive plants becoming more vulnerable to freezing temperatures. As such, the National Weather Service will begin issuing frost and freeze products for all of Northern Lower Michigan on Friday, May 15th..

These products will begin on Monday, May 25th for Eastern Upper Michigan.

Frost and freeze products are defined as frost advisories, freeze watches, and freeze warnings.
