NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio
NOAA All Hazards Radio is our main communication link to the people we serve. Warning and forecast information, current weather conditions, special public weather information and weather safety tips are all incorporated into our daily Weather Radio broadcasts which are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The 6 NWR transmitters in Northern Michigan and the assigned areas they serve are shown below.

All normal NOAA Weather Radio programming will be suspended during Severe Thunderstorm and/or Tornado Watches/Warnings in order to give timely and consistent warning service.

| 2 Day Nearshore Marine Forecasts | Plays every 30 minutes at approximately :15 and :45 |
| Daily Climate Summary | Plays every 30 minutes between 2am-noon |
| Monthly Climate Summary | Once per hour (around the top of each hour) on the first day of each month |
| Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Watches | Normal Programming is interrupted to give the latest severe weather information. Safety statements will play on NWR. |
| Severe Thunderstorm, Tornado, and Special Marine Warnings | All programming is suspended with the exception of warnings, follow-up statements and short term forecasts (Nowcasts). |
| Flood Warnings | Included in normal programming with SAME/EAS tone alert when necessary. |
| Blizzard Warnings | Included in normal programming with SAME/EAS tone alert. |
| Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories | Included in normal programming. |
