Rain-free weather will persist across northern Michigan through
tonight. Efficient daytime heating and mixing will produce
widespread minimum RH values in the 30-40 percent range today with
localized areas potentially reaching near-critical levels of
25-30 percent for a brief time this afternoon. South-southwest
winds will also increase today, with sustained 20-ft winds of 5-10
mph and gusts around 15 mph.
RH values will increase Saturday as moisture returns, keeping
minimum RH values above 40 percent, though southwest winds will
strengthen with gusts 25-30 mph possible. Light showers are also
possible Saturday with generally low rainfall amounts of 0.05 to
0.10 inches, followed by a few lingering light showers Sunday
(though most areas look to remain dry). Winds will shift west
Saturday evening and northwest Saturday night night, with more
widespread rainfall possible early next week.
