Powerful Pacific System Impacting the West; First Significant Snow for Portions of the East

Power Pacific system will continue to bring significant impacts for Pacific Northwest into northern California the remainder of the week. Dangerous coastal affects, heavy rain, flooding, strong winds, and higher elevation mountain snow continues. This article is from Jan 2018 and is no longer valid:  Starting tomorrow evening, snow will fall throughout Southcentral Alaska. As the system makes its way west from the Gulf of Alaska, snow is expected starting early Monday evening tapering off Tuesday evening. At this time we anticipate 2 to 4 inches of snow with higher amounts possible in some areas. At this time, the heaviest snow will be overnight Monday into Tuesday morning continuing through the Tuesday morning commute.
