This article is from May 2018 and is no longer valid: Our buoy in Kachemak Bay is sadly down for maintenance so we are asking for your help! Marine observations are not only beneficial for us to create accurate forecasts but that buoy data is used by researchers to create more accurate wave models. Better models mean better forecasts for you. So what can you do? Submit a marine observations like the example in the photo below making sure to use the #kbaywaves.
