With generally cloudy skies, temperatures will still rise into the 70s for a good part of the state. Northwest Arkansas will cooler readings behind a cold front that will eventually cross the entire state.
According to the 6 to 10 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center, Arkansas can expect below average temperatures and rainfall for the period between November 29 to December 6.
An active week is shaping up for the Natural State with a cold front crossing the state Monday. This will be followed by a cooler day Tuesday and a brief warm up for Wednesday. Another front will bring in cooler air for Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
On this day in Arkansas Weather History... In 1926, a major Thanksgiving Day tornado outbreak occurred in much of Arkansas, with 27 tornado reports, and 51 people killed as a result of tornadoes.
