Heavy Rain and Snow to the Southwest U.S. and Alaska; Lake-effect Snow Downwind of the Great Lakes

A storm continues to produce rain and higher-elevation snow over parts of central/southern California through Monday afternoon. This system is also bringing Elevated fire weather conditions over parts of Southwest. Lake-effect snow is expected downwind from the Great Lakes, especially Lake Ontario. TONIGHT...Northeast to east winds near 20 knots, decreasing to near 15 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet, occasionally to 8 feet. Wave Detail: Northeast to east 6 feet at 6 seconds. Isolated showers.
