NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio

 

The National Weather Service in Wichita is responsible for operating six NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio transmitters, which broadcast weather warnings, watches, forecasts, observations and other weather information, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The transmitters are located in Wichita, Erie, Ellsworth, Beaumont, Sharon and Great Bend. (all in Kansas).

* The NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter Station WXL-71 at 162.525 MHz is located in Abilene, KS, and falls under the responsibility of the National Weather Service Office in Topeka, KS. This station will broadcast tone alerts for watches and warnings affecting Saline, McPherson, and Marion Counties in central Kansas.
