January 5th - First winter storm of the new year!

Overview

A quick hitting winter storm system lifted out of the Southern Plains on Friday January 5th bringing accumulating snow to much of the area. The heaviest snow fell during the morning commute which lead to numerous accidents. In addition, several schools across south central Kansas called off school for the day.
