WICHITA EISENHOWER AIRPORT

The average monthly temperature at Eisenhower Airport was 33.9 degrees, which was 1.7 degrees cooler than average. It was the
50th coolest December since records began in 1888, and the coolest since 2016. The warmest daily temperature was 66 degrees
on the 2nd, and the coldest was 5 below zero on the 22nd. Two mornings dropped below zero during the month, which tied for the
5th most December below zero readings since 1888, and the most December below zero readings since 2016. Precipitation-wise,
0.93 inches was measured at Eisenhower airport, which was only 0.29 inches below the monthly average. Snowfall-wise, 3.1 inches was measured, which was only 0.1 inches below the monthly average. It was the snowiest December since 2014.

SALINA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

The average monthly temperature at Salina Municipal Airport was 30.8 degrees, which was 2.1 degrees cooler than average. It was the 33rd coolest December since records began in 1900, and the coolest since 2013. The warmest daily temperature was 69 degrees on the 2nd, and the coldest was 7 below zero on the 22nd. Two mornings dropped below zero during the month, which was the most December below zero readings since 2016. Precipitation-wise, 0.93 inches was measured at the airport, which was only 0.19 inches below the monthly average.

CHANUTE MARTIN-JOHNSON AIRPORT

The average monthly temperature at Chanute Martin-Johnson Airport was 36.5 degrees, which was 0.6 degrees cooler than average. It was the coolest December since 2016. The warmest daily temperature was 70 degrees on the 29th, and the coldest
was 3 below zero on the 22nd and 23rd. Two mornings dropped below zero during the month, which tied for the 9th most
December below zero readings since records began in 1899, and the most since 2016. Precipitation-wise, 1.86 inches was
measured at the airport, which was only 0.15 inches above the monthly average. It was the 38th wettest December since 1899.
