Localized heavy rainfall this afternoon and evening may lead to flooding of poor drainage and low-lying areas. However, amounts greater 3" may result in flash flooding, with the most vulnerable areas near I-75 and US-221. Remember, if you encounter any water-covered roads, “Turn Around, Don’t Drown!”
Erin is forecast to remain a major hurricane and is not a threat to the Tri-State area. Meanwhile, a disturbance over the central tropical Atlantic has a 40% chance of development by midweek. As the peak of hurricane season approaches, ensure you’re prepared ahead of any threats.
