Showers and scattered storms spread from southwest to northeast through the morning hours from northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota into western and central Wisconsin. Storms progress northeast through the afternoon hours, eventually lingering in central Wisconsin tonight. Main impacts will be lightning and heavy rain with widespread rainfall totals nearing 0.5". Confidence in strong storms today remains low (20-40%) although small hail and strong winds cannot be ruled out. Otherwise, storm and shower chances frequent the work week with near seasonable temperatures.
