Overview

On January 14-15, 2018, a prolonged period of mainly light snow moved through the area. The snow was very fluffy in nature, with totals of 2 to 7 inches noted area-wide.

For some locations, including La Crosse, Wisconsin, this snowfall more than doubled the total snow for the winter season so far. Some minor blowing and drifting snow was noted across the open areas of southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa, with several accidents attributed to the wintry weather.

A list of snowfall reports and a snowfall map are available below, with a comprehensive regional listing of snow reports also available.
