Snow Squalls May Impact New Year's Eve Travel from the Great Lakes to the Mid-Atlantic; Heavy Rain Returns to California

Lake effect snow will continue through Friday bringing significant snowfall to areas east to southeast of the Great Lakes. Snow squalls may impact New Year's Eve travel this evening and overnight across parts of the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic, and Upstate New York. After a long hiatus SMG is sharing KSC area wind towers out to MADIS and the Utah MesoWest every 5 minutes.  You can see the data at:

  • Utah MesoWest To see the KSC towers be sure to click the Network dropdown box and select "All Networks".  This site is especially nice as all tower levels can be listed with a few clicks.
