Elevated heat may affect people sensitive to heat. Aug 10: A Fire Danger Statement is in effect from 10 AM to 4 PM AST today for portions of Puerto Rico, including the Southeast Coastal Plains, Southeast Foothills, North Coastal Plains, West Coastal Plains, East Interior, and Southwest. An elevated fire danger risk is expected as winds increase to 15 mph or greater with gusts near 25 mph, while relative humidity falls to 55% or lower. Combined with dry vegetation, these conditions could allow fires to ignite and spread more easily. Avoid outdoor burning and activities that could accidentally start a fire. | Un Comunicado de Peligro de Incendios está en efecto hoy de 10 AM a 4 PM AST para sectores de Puerto Rico, incluyendo las Llanuras Costeras del Sureste, Estribaciones del Sureste, Llanuras Costeras del Norte, Llanuras Costeras del Oeste, Interior Este y Suroeste. Se espera un riesgo elevado de incendios debido a vientos de 15 mph o más, con ráfagas cercanas a 25 mph, mientras la humedad relativa disminuye a 55% o menos.
