07/26 | Sunday/domingo 🌫️ Saharan Dust Today; Wetter Weather Tonight Moderate Saharan dust will keep skies hazy and conditions hot through much of the day. 🌡️ Dangerous heat will be the primary hazard today. A Heat Advisory remains in effect for portions of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. ⛈️ This afternoon, increasing moisture associated with an approaching tropical wave will trigger scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly across the U.S. Virgin Islands surrounding waters, Vieques, the San Juan metropolitan area, and interior to northwestern Puerto Rico. Brief heavy rain may cause ponding of water on roads and in poor-drainage areas. ➡️ Beginning tonight and continuing through Tuesday, deeper tropical moisture will increase the potential for showers, thunderstorms, urban flooding, and small-stream flooding. What You Should Do Today ☀️ Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day. 💧 Stay hydrated and seek air-conditioned places when possible. ⛈️ When thunder roars, go indoors. 🚗 Never drive through flooded roadways. *********** Español *********** 🌫️ Polvo del Sahara hoy; más humedad esta noche El polvo del Sahara mantendrá un ambiente brumoso y caluroso durante gran parte del día. 🌡️ El calor será el principal riesgo hoy. Una Advertencia de Calor permanece en efecto para varios municipios debido a índices de calor peligrosos. ⛈️ En la tarde, la cercanía de una onda tropical favorecerá aguaceros y tormentas eléctricas aisladas, principalmente sobre las aguas de las Islas Vírgenes, Vieques, el área metropolitana de San Juan y el interior al noroeste de Puerto Rico. Algunas lluvias podrían provocar acumulación de agua en carreteras y zonas de drenaje deficiente. ➡️ Desde esta noche y hasta el martes aumentará la humedad, elevando el potencial de lluvias, tormentas eléctricas e inundaciones urbanas y de pequeños riachuelos.
