A High Rip Current Risk is also in effect for many beaches, especially across northern, eastern, and southeastern Puerto Rico and portions of the U.S. Virgin Islands. 🌧️⛈️ Se espera un aumento en la humedad y en la actividad de aguaceros mañana, especialmente durante horas de la tarde sobre el oeste de Puerto Rico. Algunos aguaceros podrían ser de moderados a fuertes y provocar acumulación de agua en carreteras y áreas de poco drenaje. 🌧️⛈️ An increase in moisture and shower activity is expected tomorrow, especially during the afternoon hours across western Puerto Rico. 📅 May 25 · 25 de mayo: A High Rip Current Risk remains in effect through late tonight for the north, northeast, east, and southeast beaches of Puerto Rico, Vieques, Culebra, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone. A moderate risk persists for the remaining local beaches. Beachgoers are urged to use caution, swim near lifeguards, and follow the guidance of local officials and beach safety personnel.
