[Aug 11th] 2 PM AST Tropical Weather Outlook 🌀 Central Tropical Atlantic: Disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave are occurring around 550 miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. Aug. 11 | 11 de agosto: A moderate rip current risk continues today along much of the northern coast of Puerto Rico and Culebra, where life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone. A low risk is expected across the remaining depicted coastal areas, including Vieques and the U.S. Virgin Islands, but rip currents can still occur, especially near piers and jetties.
