[Sept 3rd] Drought Monitor Update 🏜️
Puerto Rico — Rainfall from the remnants of Dolly earlier this week brought some relief to NE and SE PR. Nevertheless, 40.99% of PR (including Vieques and Culebra) remain under Extreme Drought (D3).
U.S. Virgin Islands — Dolly's remnants resulted in beneficial rainfall for St. Croix, whereas St. Thomas and parts of St. John remained relatively dry. Groundwater levels remain low and Extreme Drought (D3) conditions persist.

Puerto Rico — La lluvia de los remanentes de Dolly a principios de esta semana trajo cierto alivio al NE y SE de PR. Sin embargo, el 40.99% de PR (incluyendo Vieques y Culebra) permanece bajo Sequía Extrema (D3).
Islas Vírgenes Estadounidenses — Los remanentes de Dolly resultaron en lluvia beneficiosa para St. Croix, mientras que St. Thomas y partes de St. John permanecieron relativamente secas. Los niveles de agua subterránea siguen bajos y persisten las condiciones de Sequía Extrema (D3).
