Do you have an interest in weather and helping your community?

The National Weather Service offices in our region will be offering FREE live online weather spotter training webinars through the month of March.

Want to be a spotter but can't make a live webinar?

We also offer the option for prospective weather spotters to view a recorded webinar and then take an online quiz.

Where are spotters needed?

While we can use spotters in every county we cover, we have very few registered spotters in the following counties:

  • Morgan County, Ohio
  • Clay County, West Virginia
  • Braxton County, West Virginia
  • Doddridge County, West Virginia
  • Lincoln County, West Virginia
  • Mingo County, West Virginia
  • Wyoming County, West Virginia

If you live in these counties, please consider becoming a weather spotter!

How do I find out more?

More information, including registration links for each of the live webinars can be found at weather.gov/rlx/weather-spotter.
