Upcoming Changes to WSO PPG Zone...

On or about Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 700 AM Samoa Standard Time (SST), 1800 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the NWS Weather Service Office (WSO) in Pago Pago, American Samoa (PPG) will change Public, Fire, and Marine Forecast Zones on Tutuila and Aunuu, Manu'a, Swains Island, and Rose Island.

If March 2, 2023, is declared a Critical Weather Day, this implementation will be postponed to March 9, 2023.

The three current marine zones will be converted into seven new marine zones. Three new fire zones will be created for each public zone. A new public, fire, and marine zone will be created for Rose Island.
