A frontal boundary will bring a continued chance for strong to severe thunderstorms late tonight into early Thursday morning. Main threats will include large hail and damaging wind gusts.

Severe thunderstorms will be possible Thursday night into Friday morning across southern Oklahoma and north Texas.

Severe storms will remain possible across parts of Oklahoma and western north Texas Friday. Large hail and damaging winds are the main concerns.

Heavy rain/flooding will become an increasing concern as the week progresses and multiple rounds of rain occurs. Several inches of rain will be possible, especially in south central and southeast OK, into the weekend. Flooding will be possible in some areas, especially in low-lying and poorly drained locations.

1991. The severe thunderstorms caused extensive damage, especially in
Iowa Park and Burkburnett, just west and north of Wichita Falls.
