Storm Impacting the Southwest U.S.; Above Normal Temperatures Further East

A storm system will shift across the southwest U.S. through Thursday with widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms. Isolated flooding is possible. High-elevation snow is also expected in parts of Nevada and the southern Sierra Nevada range. March 13th - March 23rd 2019

Heavy rainfall over frozen soil and rapid snow melt led to record river levels across several states. The map below shows the river gauges that had record crests during the March 13th - March 23rd time period. Each point is clickable and contains the new record information as well as flooding images at some sites.
