A cold front will push through the region today and will bring cooler temperatures and breezy winds. Light rain showers will be possible mid morning through early afternoon.
Tonight will be chilly thanks to today's cold front. Expect partly cloudy skies and light winds.

1990: Strong westerly gradient winds sustained near 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph roared across the South Plains this
afternoon. A peak gust of 61 mph was measured at the Lubbock International Airport. A number of residential fences were
blown down inside the city of Lubbock.
