An internship for undergraduate and graduate-level Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences students will be available at our office possibly beginning later this summer through the U.S. Government Pathways Program. The National Weather Service in Chicago (Romeoville), Illinois is seeking a motivated student that desires to learn more about the operations of a local weather service office.  In this internship, students will participate in many aspects of the day-to-day duties of the office, including warning operations, forecast creation, decision support, and observing.  In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in office research and outreach. This will be a full-time paid position during summer hours, with part-time hours available during the school year.

To be eligible students must be pursuing a degree in meteorology or atmospheric science. Recent graduates from an undergraduate program will also be considered if they have been accepted into a graduate program.
