...A Look Back at the Climate for the Month of January 2022 for
Chicago and Rockford...

At Chicago, the average high temperature was 28.6 degrees, which
is 3.0 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was 12.6
degrees, which is 6.2 degrees below normal. The average temperature
for the month was 20.6 degrees, which is 4.6 degrees below normal.
During the month of January, 0.84 inches of precipitation were
recorded, which is 1.15 inches below normal. 13.9 inches of snow
fell, which is 2.6 inches above normal.

There were no daily or top ten monthly records set for Chicago
during the month of January 2022.


At Rockford, the average high temperature was 26.8 degrees, which
is 2.3 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was 6.9
degrees, which is 7.6 degrees below normal. The average temperature
for the month was 16.8 degrees, which is 5.0 degrees below normal.

recorded, which is 1.04 inches below normal. 9.8 inches of snow
