...A Look Back at the Climate for the Month of April 2022 for
Chicago and Rockford...

At Chicago, the average high temperature was 55.1 degrees, which
is 3.9 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was 38.9
degrees, which is 1.4 degrees below normal. The average
temperature for the month was 47.0 degrees, which is 2.7 degrees
below normal. During the month of April, 5.31 inches of
precipitation were recorded, which is 1.56 inches above normal.
0.4 inches of snow were recorded, which is 0.9 inches below
normal.

There were no records set during the month of April 2022 for
Chicago.

At Rockford, the average high temperature was 55.6 degrees, which
is 4.1 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was 36.4
degrees, which is 2.1 degrees below normal. The average
temperature for the month was 46.0 degrees, which is 3.1 degrees
below normal. During the month of April, 4.48 inches of
precipitation were recorded, which is 0.73 inches above normal.
2.6 inches of snow were recorded, which is 1.7 inches above
normal.

There were two daily records for Rockford during the month of
April 2022:
