Storm Impacting the Southwest U.S.

A slow moving weather disturbance will continue to bring periodic rain showers, a few isolated thunderstorms, and a localized flash flooding across the Southwest. Overview

  • Wind gusts of 50 to 66 mph were observed across northern Illinois and northwest Indiana. 
  • The peak wind gust was 66 mph at Valparaiso, IN.
  • These winds were a result of a strong low pressure system that moved over the Upper Midwest.
