Tropical Storm Bertha continues moving west just to the south of the Central Gulf Coast. Bertha is forecast to remain a tropical storm, then weaken as it approaches the Texas Coast later this week. Impacts to central Alabama are not expected.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect until 9 pm tonight for areas along and west of Interstate 65. Highs will be from 92 to 95 degrees with heat index values up to 105 degrees possible.
Chances for showers and storms with best potential south and east. Highs from the low 90s southeast to the mid 90s west. Southeast wind 7-14 mph.
Chances for showers and some storms with best potential north. Lows in the low to mid 70s. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Showers and storms likely northeast and central. Highs from near 90 far northwest to the low 90s southeast. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
