There is a risk for severe thunderstorms to affect Central Alabama Sunday night. Threats include damaging winds up to 70 mph, tornadoes, and hail up to quarter size.
After Sunday night's stormy weather, cold conditions are forecast across Central Alabama for the early part of the week. Widespread freezing temperatures in the 20s are expected Tuesday morning and in the 20s to near 30 Wednesday morning.
Sunny weather is expected today across Central Alabama with highs in the mid to upper 70s and southerly winds at 5-10 mph.
Fair weather is expected across Central Alabama tonight with lows in the 50s and a southerly wind at 5 mph or less.
Increasing cloudiness on Sunday with highs in the upper 70s to 80. Southerly winds will become 15-20 mph sustained with gusts near 30 mph.
