There is a low risk of strong to severe storms through 10 pm this evening. The primary threats are large hail and damaging winds.

Decreasing rain chances with some rain continuing in the southeast. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
The DOD weather radar located between Auburn and Montgomery, Alabama (KMXX) will be offline for scheduled maintenance. This work cannot be delayed. Outage duration is Thursday, February 26, 2026 to Friday, February 27, 2026. A line of showers and a few thunderstorms is forecast to arrive to the Interstate 85 region sometime late Thursday. Surrounding weather radars are available to National Weather Service meteorologists for tracking and analysis.
