Increasing heat and humidity will lead to dangerously high heat index values into next week.
A heat advisory will be in effect across all of Central Alabama through Friday and most likely through the weekend. Daytime highs will range through the 90s with heat indices up to 109. Remember to stay hydrated, reduce time outdoors if possible, & wear light-weight, light colored clothing.
Chances for showers and storms east and central. Highs from the mid 90s east to the upper 90s west and southwest. West wind 4-8 mph.
Most of the shower and storms should dissipate before sunset. Lows from the mid 70s northeast to the upper 70s southwest. Light southwest winds.
Isolated to scattered showers and storms mainly east. Highs in the mid to upper 90s. West wind 4-8 mph.
