High temperatures in the low to mid 90s will combine with humid conditions to produce heat index values near 105 and a moderate to occasionally major heat risk. Daily showers and thunderstorms will be isolated to scattered in coverage. A Heat Advisory is in place though Tuesday across the northwest.
We are monitoring Tropical Depression Two over the northeast Gulf. The tropical system is forecast to become Tropical Storm Bertha on Monday and slowly track to the north and west through the week. Significant impacts to central Alabama are not forecast at this time.
For today, partly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms with high temperatures in the lower to mid 90s.
Lingering showers and thunderstorms should end by midnight. Low temperatures in the low to mid 70s.
