 Details:

  1. 5/28/1954:  Touched down midway between Metamora and Eureka.
  2. 5/14/1961:  This tornado touched down 3 miles north of Eureka, and moved northeast 20 miles to Wenona, in Marshall County.  Damage was minor.
  3. 8/1/1961:  Touched down on the west edge of Minonk.
  4. 5/9/1970:  On the ground for 4 miles, this tornado touched down near U.S. 150 and the Mackinaw River, and moved to about 1 mile north-northeast of Congerville. 
  5. 6/15/1971:  Touched down just east of Roanoke, and moved for 2 miles.
  6. 6/18/1973:  Brief touchdown about 4 miles west of Roanoke.
  7. 9/4/1973:  Touched down between Kappa and Hudson.
  8. 6/19/1974:  Touched down in Minonk, causing structural damage to one building, and lifting 3 grain bins from their foundations.
  9. 6/22/1974:  Touched down about 1.5 miles northeast of Congerville, and was on the ground for one mile.  It destroyed a barn, and damaged other farm buildings.
  10. 5/25/1975:  Touched down about 6 miles north of Roanoke.
  11. 3/26/1976:  Moved 1/2 mile through Eureka, causing roof and window damage to several homes.  One roof was lifted off and carried a block.
  12. 6/29/1976:  Touched down about 5 miles south of El Paso, and was on the ground for one mile.
  13. 4/13/1981:  Touched down in far southern Woodford County between Goodfield and Carlock.  The storm later caused two more touchdowns in McLean County.
  14. 9/24/1986:  This tornado affected areas just north of Roanoke.  It was on the ground for 2.5 miles, damaging 3 farm houses and several other rural buildings.
  15. 5/20/1987:  Touched down about 5 miles northwest of Eureka, and was on the ground for about 1 mile.
  16. 6/13/1990:  Touched down about 5 miles west of Eureka.
  17. 6/22/1990:  Touched down in Germantown Hills, and was on the ground for about 1 mile.
  18. 4/29/1991:  Brief touchdown about 5 miles southwest of Minonk.
  19. 5/13/1995:  Brief touchdown 2 miles southwest of Congerville, damaging one home and 5 outbuildings.
  20. 7/26/1995:  Touched down 1 mile east of El Paso, causing some damage to outdoor play equipment.
  21. 6/4/1999:  Touched down 1 mile southwest of Washburn, causing extensive damage to the roof of a house when several nearby trees fell onto it.
  22. 5/18/2000:  Brief touchdown just west of Metamora, injuring one person driving through the area.
  23. 5/8/2002:  A weak tornado touched down in extreme southeastern Woodford County, and was on the ground for a mile. It then lifted briefly before touching down again 1.8 miles southeast of El Paso. As it travelled to the northeast, it crossed into the extreme northwestern corner of McLean County. At this location, it took the roof off of a barn, damaged two other barn roofs, tipped over a grain auger, as well as blowing down trees and tree limbs.
  24. 5/10/2003: This tornado moved in from Tazewell County.
  25. 5/10/2003:  Touched down east of Eureka, paralleling the tornado track in #24.
  26. 5/28/2003:  Touched down on the southeast side of Germantown Hills, and moved southeast 2 miles.  It blew the back wall out of a house, before moving into Tazewell County.
  27. 5/28/2003:  Brief touchdown 3 miles southwest of Metamora, causing no damage.
  28. 5/30/2003:  Touched down 2 miles east of Cazenovia, and was on the ground for 7.5 miles.
  29. 5/30/2004:  Touched down 1.5 miles east of Eureka, and was on the ground for 9 miles before lifting 2 miles northeast of Secor.
  30. 6/10/2004:  Brief touchdown in a field, 2 miles southwest of El Paso.
  31. 7/5/2004:  Brief touchdown in a field, 2 miles south of Spring Bay.
  32. 7/13/2004:  This violent tornado was on the ground for 10 miles, destroying the Parsons Manufacturing plant west of Roanoke.  Click here for an event review.
  33. 3/30/2005:  Brief touchdown 3 miles west-northwest of Metamora.
  34. 4/2/2006:  This tornado moved into the county from McLean County.
  35. 6/4/2008:  This tornado moved in from McLean County, 2 miles south of Congerville.  It moved across open fields for 1 mile in Woodford County.
  36. 6/5/2010:  This tornado moved in from Tazewell County, about 3.2 miles west-southwest of Metamora.  Damage occurred to trees and power poles, as well as the metal roof of a barn, and windows on a house.
  37. 9/1/2012:  Three tornadoes were spawned in Woodford County on this date, as part of the remnants of Hurricane Isaac.  This tornado touched down briefly in an open field 2 miles east-southeast of Benson.
  38. 9/1/2012:  The second of 3 tornadoes in Woodford County on this date touched down in a field 3 miles north of Benson, and moved west for about 2/3 mile, causing no damage.
  39. 9/1/2012:  The third of 3 tornadoes on this date touched down 4 miles north-northwest of Benson, and tracked northwest into Marshall County.  It damaged a shed in Woodford County and caused minor crop damage.
  40. 11/17/2013:  This long track tornado (46 miles) moved out of Tazewell County south of Metamora, and tracked northeast and passed just north of Minonk before moving into La Salle County.  Click here for more details.
  41. 5/28/2014: This landspout touched down 1.9 miles north-northeast of El Paso, but did not cause any damage.
  42. 2/28/2017:  This tornado touched down 3.7 miles west of Washburn, and caused significant damage before moving into Marshall County.  Click here for more details. 
  43. 5/27/2019:  A brief touchdown occurred in an open field 3.4 miles northwest of Benson. 
  44. 5/23/2020:  Touched down 1.1 miles southwest of Panola, and moved northeast through town. An outbuilding was damaged, a house window cracked, and several tree branches were broken.
